Blue scales and the traditional raptor posture give Swift Blue Raptor a strong place in an old-school Horde lineup. It keeps the lean troll riding-beast silhouette while offering a cooler palette than the olive and orange versions.

This is a reliable vendor purchase. The useful preparation is racial or reputation access, not camping a creature that happens to share the same model family.

Quick Answer

Zjolnir in Sen'jin Village, Durotar, sells Swift Blue Raptor, item 18788, for a 10-gold base price. Buy on a Darkspear troll, or use another eligible Horde character with Darkspear Trolls Exalted. Use the item to learn the mount. Swift Blue Raptor is still obtainable in Retail and supports Horde ground travel.

Mount Overview

The Swift blue appearance belongs to the armored racial raptor collection. It is separate from ordinary Turquoise Raptor and the other basic colors, even when their icons or coloring look related.

It also is not the discontinued original epic raptor exchange system. Current Swift Blue Raptor has its own normal gold-vendor source, so historical retired raptor lists should not be applied to it automatically.

The mount provides no flying, passenger function, or combat pet. Its movement follows ordinary current ground-riding rules; Swift identifies the historical variant rather than a unique modern speed bonus.

The Direct Purchase Route

An existing Darkspear troll is usually the most efficient buyer. Once that character can visit Durotar, its racial shop access avoids a new Exalted grind solely for the mount.

A Horde main already Exalted with Darkspear Trolls can make the same purchase. Choose whichever character has convenient access, bring the gold, and check the journal for Swift Blue Raptor before traveling.

Zjolnir stands in Sen'jin Village in southern Durotar, approximately 55.2, 75.6. Look near the raptors and riding-training area for his Raptor Handler title.

Open the stock, select Swift Blue Raptor, and confirm the item is uncollected. Pay the displayed amount, then use the purchased item from your bags. The mount is learned directly, with no follow-up quest needed after the merchant transaction.

Location and Travel

Sen'jin is the coastal troll village near the Echo Isles, south of Orgrimmar. From the capital, travel out into Durotar and follow the southern route toward the village.

Do not stop at the legacy PvP shop inside Orgrimmar. That merchant's Black War Raptor is a separate appearance with a different payment system. The Swift blue item belongs to the outdoor racial breeder.

The relevant zone is Durotar in Kalimdor, not an instance or a Northrend tournament delegation. You do not need a current campaign chapter or a dungeon queue to reach this shop.

Unlocking Access with Reputation

For a buyer without Darkspear racial eligibility, reach Exalted with Darkspear Trolls. Orgrimmar standing and newer troll-related factions are not substitutes.

Champion Uru'zin in Orgrimmar's flightmaster area sells the Darkspear Tabard. Equip it during eligible legacy dungeon clears. Only wearing the real item applies its championing effect; a wardrobe appearance is cosmetic.

Normal Botanica in Netherstorm, Outland, is a practical repeatable destination. Fly to the dungeon platform near Tempest Keep, set difficulty to Normal, and kill enemies and bosses while checking actual Darkspear reputation gains.

Finish the clear, use the exit after the final boss, leave, and reset instances from your portrait menu. Continue as needed within normal entry limits. Repeated Heroic resets are not the equivalent route because that difficulty has a daily lockout.

Check an older character's reputation first. Quest progress may already have brought it close to Exalted, and there is no universal run count that fits every starting point and bonus. Return to Zjolnir once the faction bar meets the condition.

Requirements and Pricing

• Eligible Horde faction access.
• Darkspear troll racial eligibility or Darkspear Trolls Exalted on the buyer.
• Up to 10 gold for the base mount price.
• Normal ground-riding eligibility.

Applicable reputation discounts can lower the amount. A standard Exalted discount gives an 8-gold price, but a troll does not need to grind that standing just to qualify for the racial shop.

There is no hunter requirement, profession, arena rating, or dungeon achievement. The mount is bought finished rather than raised from an egg or captured through taming.

Efficient Collection Advice

If the Swift blue entry is already learned, buying another copy does not create extra mount-count credit. Inspect the exact name rather than relying on a memory of “a blue raptor.”

Zjolnir also sells Swift Olive and Swift Orange Raptor. Each has a separate entry and a 10-gold base price. You can buy them in any order, without collecting the ordinary raptor colors first.

Darkspear Raptor from the Argent Tournament is another independent collectible. Its city-delegation progression and Champion's Seals do not belong in the requirements for Swift Blue Raptor.

Similarly, Marks of Honor cannot pay for this purchase. If you have been farming battleground boxes for a black armored raptor, verify the full target name before taking those tokens to the wrong merchant.

Is Swift Blue Raptor Still Obtainable?

Yes. The regular Retail racial source remains available without a holiday, Timewalking window, or weekly loot reset. Once an eligible buyer can shop from Zjolnir, the item is a guaranteed purchase.

If service is refused, check the buyer's race and the specific Darkspear reputation. A shop-access problem does not mean this Swift color has been retired.

Collection Value

A distinct armored raptor color for a small fixed gold cost is an easy collection addition when access is ready. The cooler palette suits blue-accented mail, dark leather, and outfits that would clash with the orange version.

It is an appearance choice rather than an exclusive trophy. That straightforward source is useful for collectors who prefer a clear endpoint between longer rare-drop projects.

Similar Mounts

• Swift Olive Raptor provides a quieter earthy color from the same handler.
• Swift Orange Raptor is the warmer Swift counterpart.
• Turquoise Raptor offers a simpler ordinary racial appearance.
