White Ram is at its best with a simple dwarf outfit and a snowy landscape. The pale coat, broad horns, and modest saddle preserve the animal's shape instead of turning it into a platform for elaborate effects.

Its acquisition is just as understated. Once the right character reaches Amberstill Ranch, this is a one-gold purchase rather than a reputation reward that must be claimed through a long quest finale.

Quick Answer

Veron Amberstill sells White Ram, item 5873, at Amberstill Ranch in Dun Morogh for 1 gold base. Use a dwarf buyer or another eligible Alliance character with Ironforge Exalted, purchase the item, and learn it. White Ram remains obtainable in Retail and is an Alliance ground mount, distinct from Swift White Ram.

Mount Overview

This is the ordinary white dwarf racial ram. Its relatively simple tack makes it a useful choice when the rider's clothing should remain the visual focus.

White Ram and Swift White Ram are separate collectibles. The Swift version's extra equipment does not overwrite the ordinary entry, and improved riding does not transform one into the other. Both use the normal applicable ground speed of the rider.

The pale appearance also does not make this a retired original epic ram. Historical exchange mounts and current racial colors can look related while having very different availability. The current White Ram item has its own permanent shop source.

How to Purchase White Ram

Resolve buyer access

A dwarf can use the racial breeder without first earning Ironforge Exalted. Check for an existing dwarf who can already travel to Dun Morogh before starting a reputation project on another character.

For a non-dwarf Alliance buyer, Ironforge Exalted provides the alternative route. Check the named faction itself, not simply your overall Alliance standing or reputation with another nearby capital.

Travel to the ram enclosure

Amberstill Ranch is in Dun Morogh, east of Kharanos and outside Ironforge. Veron stands near the enclosure around 70.7, 48.9 on the Retail map. Look for his Ram Breeder title and the nearby riding animals.

From Ironforge, leave through the main exit and follow the Dun Morogh roads toward the ranch. No trip into the Gnomeregan dungeon is required. You are buying from the outdoor breeder, not completing a dungeon or obtaining a ram from a loot table.

Learn the item

Open Veron's merchant stock and select White Ram. Bring up to 1 gold for the base price; the displayed cost may be lower with applicable discounts.

After purchasing, use White Ram from your inventory and verify the journal entry. Learning is the final step. You do not need to equip reins, visit a separate stable, or complete a follow-up delivery.

Gaining Ironforge Access on Another Race

The Ironforge Tabard is sold by Captain Stonehelm near the Great Forge flightmaster in Ironforge. Wear that real item during eligible legacy dungeon clears to direct championing reputation to Ironforge.

An established character can farm Normal Botanica in Netherstorm. This is the Outland dungeon at the floating Tempest Keep complex. Reach its platform, set dungeon difficulty to Normal, and check that the first eligible kills award Ironforge standing.

Clear the dungeon, take the exit after the final boss, leave, and reset instances from the character portrait menu. Repeat until Exalted, subject to the game's normal instance-entry restriction.

Do not use a fixed number of clears as a guarantee. Existing quest reputation, bonuses, and the precise clear affect the remaining total. Watch the actual faction bar and stop when the shop requirement is satisfied.

Heroic runs have a daily lockout, unlike the repeatable Normal route. Modern follower dungeons also should not be treated as automatic sources for an old city tabard. Confirm gains before investing a full session.

Requirements and Price

• A dwarf, or an eligible Alliance buyer Exalted with Ironforge.
• Access to Veron Amberstill's outdoor shop.
• The gold displayed, with 1 gold covering the base amount.
• Normal riding eligibility for a ground mount.

There is no Engineering, ram-training quest chain, PvP rank, or expansion reputation required. If you are a dwarf, Exalted is an optional discount rather than the condition that grants racial access.

The usual Exalted discount takes a one-gold item to 80 silver. Saving that small amount is not a reason to delay an otherwise available purchase.

Practical Collection Tips

Search the journal by the exact White Ram name before buying. A pale armored ram you already own may be Swift White Ram, while this ordinary entry can still be missing.

Veron's other ordinary colors are independent purchases. If you are filling collection gaps, check them during the same visit instead of repeating the journey. A second copy of White Ram does not supply another achievement entry.

Use the Retail coordinates and the ranch landmark together. Older Classic maps place the same named merchant at different coordinates, so an old waypoint can be misleading even when the NPC name is correct.

There is no need to earn the Argent Tournament's Ironforge championship for this mount. That delegation sells different rams in Northrend with its own currency and progression.

Is White Ram Still Obtainable?

Yes. This specific racial item remains available through Veron in Retail. It is not controlled by a holiday, Timewalking week, or a rare vendor rotation. Once an eligible buyer reaches the shop, the purchase is guaranteed.

Transmog Pairings

Pale fur goes well with blue cloth, simple silver armor, or a fur-trimmed traveling set. The animal's restrained equipment gives a small rider a clear silhouette, which is particularly appealing if you find larger mounts visually overwhelming.

Its older model is less detailed than modern beasts, but that simplicity can be exactly what a traditional Ironforge character needs.

Similar Mounts

• Gray Ram is another ordinary racial color from the same breeder.
• Swift White Ram supplies the pale theme with heavier riding equipment.
• Black War Ram offers a contrasting armored PvP look through a separate merchant.
